ARE IDIOMS “IDIOT” THINGS?

Hi!
Have you ever heared such a dialogue:

 1st person:
Wow!
Last night, it was rainning cats and dogs here!

2nd person:
Oh, really?
Was it a flood?

Maybe you didn’t get what the Hell these poor animals were doing right here??????

Don’t worry.
This is an idiom.
And this isn’t “idiot” at all!!!

Idioms, also known as idiomatic expressions, are funny.
They can be confusing for non-native English speakers because, if taken literally, they simply don’t make sense.
Here is a link to download an e-book for free to get some of these idioms.
Enjoy.
